County Kerry is known for its cozy villages where Irish is still spoken, traditional pubs, legendary drives with views of astonishing cliffs, and the brilliant lakes of Killarney. The picture-perfect heritage town of Kenmare known in Irish as ‘Neidin’ (the little nest) because the town ‘nestles’ amongst the surrounding mountains which are such a striking feature of the landscape. There is something in Kenmare for everyone – wonderful food and shops filled with Irish arts and crafts, lace, designer wear and produce from local artisans. Enjoy the many walking tours, activities and places to explore or just sit awhile in one of the many cafés, restaurants or bars and enjoy the ambiance of this very special town. 

A five minute drive from downtown Kenmare, Sheen Falls Lodge is a historic 17th century fishing lodge transformed into a five-star luxury haven. All activities will take place or depart from here. If you’d like to reserve a specially rated room at our wedding headquarters Sheen Falls Lodge, please contact the Bookings Team directly and let them know you are part of the Kuhn-Fiabane wedding party July 4-7th. Our limited room block rates start at €230/night for a Classic Room and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Please, only one room per invitation. 

Recommendations for alternative Kenmare accommodations are available upon request and transportation to and from the Lodge can be arranged with notice. Please let us know if you have any questions or need assistance.

If you decide to book an activity, we recommend the morning of the 6th or 7th. Please note that our pre-planned wedding activities already include golf, whiskey and chocolate tasting.
